Man what did you spend 7 grand on, VSTs, programs, ???
I would stick with Live, I like it better than Acid cause Live has more to it and it was easier for me to work with VST, recording and so forth than Acid.
Depending on what you bought with that bunch of cash, if you bought some VSTs, learn ...

More control on the Gate effect and step sequencer
For the gate, be able to send a beat signal or sequencer track to the gate and let it open and close to the beat.
16 step sequencer kinda like Reason's Matrix Sequencer and be able to route the signals to gates or VSTs.
Both of these I can do in Reason, but it would be cool to do the same things ...
