Re: Managing may Live sets on stage.
Don't underestimate vertical chaining. For me there is no other way. I am a solo performer and at times have to play up to 3 hour sets. Less is more of course, but for 3 hours? You need a little more then less. All drums for all songs are contained within 1 track, using chain selector either to swit...

Multiple Tier Device Panel
Not sure if this has been wish listed, but being able to vertically expand the device panel (similar to the note editor) would be fantastic. Personally a good 75% of my production time is spent using features only accessible through a quarter of the GUI space. Doesn't seem like an easy thing to impl...

Re: Midi LFO behaving eradictly!
are you sure you don't have key or velocity mapping turned on or routed to rate in the MIDI expansion window (upper right of device)?

Re: Can someone explain the MIDI LFO to me?
The easiest key-control parameter to understand is Keytrack > Rate. This means that the higher you play on the keyboard, the faster the LFO rate will be. The lower you play, the slower. With free-running LFO, how high the Keytrack > Rate percent is determines how far the rate will deviate from your ...

Re: [live.numbox] doesn’t initialize properly
There are quirks for sure, especially after crashes, but yeah for the most part mine usually init properly. I do have a case that's been bugging me with a numbox that is initially hidden, and made to bang it's value on hidden 0 - for some reason it always comes up as 1 instead of 100.

Re: Wil donate for enhanced Midi LFO.
Have you see Peter McCullough's XLFO? It is fantastic.
Also, my LFO is tits (and free):

With that said, neither have trigger based timing, but I'd be happy to make one for you for small contribution. Email lokua (at) lokua (dot) net if you're interested.

Ableton's lack of native OSC is really is dissapointing. My two cents.

Re: Cntrl+F...enter
It's not just good for sample libraries (coming from someone who does not use samples other than his own recordings), but for sound design. If I want to rectify something, I just cntrl+F and type Rect and enter - done in 2 seconds. Different people different needs I guess. Programmable keyboard shor...

Cntrl+F...enter
I must be a dork because I absolutely LOVE this feature. Want an Operator? Hit Ctrl+F, type Op, then press down key and then enter and boom - device added. Great for work-flow. In the future it would be GREAT if there was a way the device could be added after a device you have highlighted in the dev...

Re: selfmade live visuals - which programs are out there?
Thanks, guys. Yeah it seems there is no demand for UI, because there are too few people that actually do this kind of stuff. I can alter some processing-examples and have fun with that, but don't have the time to really dive into programming my own stuff. Birthday Boy, can you show me some footage ...

Re: selfmade live visuals - which programs are out there?
There is no easy way. You basically at this point in time cannot do what you want while meeting all the criteria you mentioned. If you want to do live (meaning LIVE - as in every parameter at your finger tips and the ability to go somewhere new every time) then you'll need processing, jitter, vvvv, ...

Re: shortcuts?
In other words no, there is no shortcut, especially for PC users. No big deal, I'm not so lazy that I could justify buying the ability for a convenience of so small importance. Thanks anyway.
