I thought we were talking about "Military bases" here? Your trying to turn this into a political thing. NK has 60,000 troops on the DMZ and the US 50,000 and the North Korean army is 1 million strong and heavily backed by China. It wouldnt be "over in a few days because N Koreans are...

Uh huh....And what do you think would happen if half those bases closed? The US could have one quarter of it's 'defence' budget back to spend on it's citizens health? N Korea instantly invades South Korea. China attacks Taiwan or Japan, they'll flip a coin I guess. Cuba starts getting shipments of ...

 That test is ancient. Try something that would theoretically would be spread over cores. In the test, everything is linked to the impulse. And if I understand Live's multiple cpu support correctly, all that stuff would be using 1 cpu core. Duplicate that setup 8 times and try again. Make sure...

J&H - what's your evaluation of the Shermann Filterbank, first time I heard one I shit my pants. ;) I like the shermann very much, its rock solid. For fattening up VSTi's the Jomox M-Resonator is also always a favorite. But as far as the Schippmann goes, its the heavyweight champion hands down ...

Re: synths - harware vs software

hey everyone, my apologies if this comes up alot, I had a seach through the thread history. ok, so the other day i was in a proper studio and listened to one of his clients work, it was an electronica piece, but I immediately thought it sounded noticably like a softsynth, kind of in a bad way. It s...
