Re: Lost in the Apple-verse

Thanks very much for the link sinnatagg. I have been through the links on that page and they will not allow me to update to El Capitan. If your system is running at 10.7 or higher (I'm at 10.7.5) Apple will only allow you to update to Sierra from the App Store. If you are still on 10.6.8 Apple will...

Re: Lost in the Apple-verse

Thanx so much for all the replies and feedback and the socio-political discussion. :P The Ableton forum members NEVER disappoint!!! I am currently on hold with Apple support, trying to see if they'll add El Capitan to my 'previously purchased' list. Maybe I'm cynical, but I doubt they will make it a...

Lost in the Apple-verse

Can't download El Capitan from the App Store - Anyone else? I need to update my MBP but Apple will only allow me to update to Sierra which my audio interface potentially does not play nice with. Has anyone else dealt with this and found a solution? Really at a loss - would appreciate any advice. Tha...

Re: Alan Vega of essential duo Suicide - R.I.P

Fukin bummer - would've liked to see them. TBH, I only really know the first Suicide album but that one is mind blowing. Read an article about him today and he also did visual work - need to look that up.

Re: Abandoning the computer

Received my analog four yesterday. Having great fun so far, twisting knobs and pressing buttons. The main thing I haven't got my head around so far is the filing system (sounds, tracks, projects etc.). If anyone has any advice I'd greatly appreciate it. Conratz - it's VERY ADDICTIVE! I've had one f...

^

Ya, just to be clear, I'm in no way pretending to make a recommendation here - just taking the opportunity to gush about my new droid.

I've been wanting to be able to sequence AND tweak without using the computer for a couple years now and the A4 fits the bill.

Re: hardware synth recommendation

I have a midi keyboard's midi out running into the midi in of the A4. It is set to the A4's auto channel so that it sends midi to the currently selected track, unless the sound browser is open, if the sound browser is open the keyboard plays whatever sounds you are browsing allowing you to preview t...

Re: hardware synth recommendation

Just had my A4 a few days now but I'm really into it so far. Once I get the proper cables I will also sequence my Dark Energy from the CV Outs... Never have used CV so it will be a new experience! One thing I realized pretty quick is that to get a good flow going on the A4 I will need to get to know...

Re: Launching clips inside touchAble 2

I distinctly remember this being mentioned in the tutorials. There was some mention of putting the clip launcher in a mode where it changes the clip launch behavior to immediate. The vids are all on YouTube.
