Re: how do you tell live to not record automation, only audio?
Ableton automaticly records all automation as soon as the global record is armed... Delete them afterwards or record your new track to session view Arm you track and not the global record, then click clip button in session, this will start your arrangement playing and record your new part as clip i...

how do you tell live to not record automation, only audio?
to record automation in live is so easy & cool - it just records every movement you do with almost every parameter, I love it. but sometimes I just want to record some audio. then of course I forget to mute a few tracks I don´t want to hear while overdubbing and mute it while laying down that ki...

Re: anyone remembers the share feature?
it´s like when you move your company to a bigger office building - the landlord says that there will be a much better wifi infrastructure. then the wifi doesn´t work and the landlord says - "hey no problem, just use the free wifi from the other company downstairs. you can´t access certain sites...

Re: SOLVED horrifying white noise burst after starting live...
never mind, the noise is caused by a freeware vst I had on a minimized track in the session I am working on.

Re: Have to export/render audio twice for a file to be created
apparently this bug is still present or has been reintroduced in Live 8.2.1 a session with external audio hardware patched in using the External Audio Effect. I am rendering 4 tracks; auto-restart on dropouts box checked. Live restarts on dropouts as expected. but when it finally renders without dro...

Re: Multichannel panning using Max for Live
oh bummer, I finally looked into m4l with the hope that I could use dac~ for multichannel spatialization, similar to what the original poster wrote.
of course dac~ does not work. that´s a real shame.
did you find anything to workaround this problem with predictable latency?

Re: anyone remembers the share feature?
I just looked at the linked pages and it´s a shame ableton decided to abandon this feature. http://www.ohmstudio.com/ -> they made a nice video, too. let´s see if they can work this out : ) my prediction: 2 years from now every DAW will have a sharing/collaboration over the net feature implemented a...

anyone remembers the share feature?
when live 8 came out, the sharing feature was announced as a major part of the update. I don´t know the whole story but the beta was killed because of some difficulties. are there plans to restart this feature? I could still use it, you know.... a sticky in the forum somewhere would be the least, if...

Re: Follow action "when clip ends"
"The Follow Action Time control defines when a Follow Action takes place in bars-beats-sixteenths from the point in the clip where play starts" This is not well suited for clips of random, varying lengths (like a field recording of a waterfall, or an entire song). It yields inaccurate res...

pops & crackle when cpu hits 40%
os x 10.6.3 (4gb ram, c2duo 2.26ghz), live suite 8.1.3, rme fireface400 I get pops & crackle when the cpu hits about 40% the same 30 seconds played back with bigger audio buffer and therefore decreased CPU (about 30%) sounds clean (also the part rendered is clean). I think I remember I got this ...
