Yes, you can send and recieve midi in Live 5!

Did you put an midi instrument ( e.g. operator ) on your midi track? Because if you don't, there is nothing the sound can come from!

Single tap should work the way that you can tap just once at a time, eg. when you feel that something goes out of sync. On the first downbeat of a bar. I haven't tryied it yet, but should be this..

BTW: What are you sending to the drummers headphones, your acctual loops/samples or a click-metronome?

I know they are some additional software for this, (like InTime). But is it possible without them (and the necessary Midi triggers/transmitters)?

In that case you could use Live with any live band, just come on the stage and jam with Live, like with any other musical ...

Thanx for replying, although I'm dealing with a bit different situation.: I have a band, we all (5 people) play drums/percussions, kind of live d'n'b.. For this "set-up" I want/need Live to follow us! I don't want to follow the click/metronome because I don't want to lose the live felling of playing ...

I play live percussion, and sometimes I transition tempos with my own live Impulse drumming, or sometimes with a percussion clip. I have to play to a click track this way, and I use an IEM to make it as easy as possible. I'll just drum along to the outgoing track, drum as the tempo ramps up or ...
