Another Question about plugins
Hi, Some plugin installer packages dont ask you if you want AU or VST and just bang the lot in anyway. The AUs go into the /Library/Audio/Plugins/Components folder on Mac OSX. Can you safely delete any AUs in this folder that you dont want? Asking as I have some plugins that arent 64bit vst, only AU...

Re: Moving VST Files
I contacted Ableton Support and they informed my that using shortcuts to VSTs doesnt work with Live 9 64bit on OSX anymore. That's incorrect, it works fine. I have a whole folder of shortcuts (aliases) to my VST plugins organised by subfolder exactly how I want them. You don't need to move anything...

Moving VST Files
Hi, I want to Organise my VST / Plugin Folder in Ableton Live 9 on Yosemite. I used to use shortcuts to VSTs in a custom VST folder and use the custom folder in the Ableton Options, which worked great. The I went to 64bit and some of my plugins werent appearing, this ISNT a 32 / 64 thing. I made sur...

Upgrading to 64bit - Advice pls
Hi All, having just bought 32lives and realising that all my other plugins are 64bit I'm gonna upgrade Live9 to 64bit on my MacBook. Do I need to do anything special when installing 64bit? Does it over write or reinstall the library etc? Or can 32 / 64 bit co-exist and share the library? If so when ...

Questions about Velocity
Just wondering why the default velocity of Midi Notes is 100 and not 127? So for HiHats as an example, up to know Ive been drawing my notes in and then pulling some of them down in velocity to create more human feel etc... I appreciate you can change the default but Im just wondering why its set at ...

Re: Automation dots - ARGH!!
I agree.. I always have trouble with automation lines, doesnt seem to matter if you have the dot or the line selected it nearly always moves the entire line. its a lottery as to whether it does what you want or not... its a complete ballache and not fun to use at all. With the new "inverted cli...

Re: 9.1.2 Update - Visual Changes
agree... I know it makes no difference to music production what so ever but when some apps look visually stunning on the Mac its a shame when you open your main bread and butter, life or death, go to app... and it looks rubbish

9.1.2 Update - Visual Changes
Is it just me or have Ableton managed to make live look even shitter?
I love the program, I do... but come on... I have a macbook retina and now with 9.1.2 and the inverse text colour it now looks even worse?
Anyone else agree or is it just me?
