Re: Ableton Crashing on open of certain project due to Reaktor 5
Did you try trashing your Reaktor preferences? Reinstalling might well not overwrite corrupt preferences.

US people, do you call your dentist 'Dr' or...what?
Straight-up question, how do you refer to your dentist in the US? (yeah yeah aside from 'the poker', 'Szell' etc etc) Would you for example say 'Thank you Dr', or would that seem odd? It's for something to do with work and you're regular(-ish) folk, many in the US. Thanks for any input, serious or o...

Re: Trigger Finger Pro Audio Files available for direct use?
So, are you just trying to ask if you can use the TFP sounds in Push?
You could but they're not available as discrete .wav etc files to drop in a drum rack etc, they're tied up in some proprietary format so you'd have to use them via MA's Air Drums plug and trigger that from Push.

Re: Is moving multiple clips still so clunky??
More than a stupid limitation it's an unforgivable initial implementation....giving you a half-assed function that destroys your work.

Is moving multiple clips still so clunky??
I'm in arrange building a narration demo, nice per-clip volume fades etc and the tracks overlap. I want to move the last 5 clips, spread over 3 lanes/tracks back a couple of seconds but cannot select those clips without a clip I DON'T want to move/chop/change getting shortened and the automation bor...

Re: Dub Techno, minimalism, ambient.
None of those tracks are static, def. not for 30 secs. Set up the elements you want to use, drums, stabs, textures, noise etc as well as a jammable control setup for faders, sends, some key fx parameters and just jam out for a while. When you have some vibe that you're getting lost in you're on the ...

Re: Location and storage of files when dragged into a project
If you're that far down to every Mb counting then it will be having a very negative impact on overall system performance too. If you're on Mac you can sort columns by size in the Finder and go through your folders etc (sure you can on Win too) and doubtless will find Gb of duplicated sample libs, mo...

Akai 's web site has nothing but promotional crap, the support doesn't link to any Midi specifications either. ! Found both of your problems. Is that a known thing for Akai?! Shit support? Wish I'd known that before :x Akai are unfortunately owned by this lot now http://www.inmusicbrands.com/ I hav...

Re: Touch Strip center position off?
Booting up Push pan always shows 2 bars at the Centre position and I have to pan to the L to get it to a single LED bar.
Not a huge issue but not great either...any way to deal with this?

Re: Traktor S8
You still get the touch strips for manual beatmatching, different interface but the same functionality. I've been using non-jog controllers with buttons for push/pull for years, other than scratching I don't really get why everyone's freaking out saying it's impossible to beatmatch other than by us...

Re: Help me pick an audio interface
Keep what you have, the quality is probably better than anything you can get for your budget/channel. Spend $400 and you can get a pretty decent analogue mixer which will give lots more potential to play around with other boxes etc etc. Esp. if you buy used you should be able to get something pretty...
