Record clip automation on audio track with "no input"
Hi, Someone might be able to correct me here, but if I drop audio loops into clips, and set the audio input to "no input", because the record arm for that track is removed, it's not possible to record automation for the clip. I like to disable the input, to stop confusion with the monitor ...

Re: Freeze for Virus Ti as plug-in
If I use it as a hardware synth, setting it up as an "external" instrument in Ableton, then - yep, it works as any hardware synth might. In plug-in mode, it acts like it's a soft-synth plug-in, transferring the audio via 6 USB streams (3 stereo). Due to generating sound via DSP, it can't r...

Freeze for Virus Ti as plug-in
Although I realise I can work around this, the work-flow in Cubase for real-time freezing Virus Ti when used as a plug-in works relatively seamlessly.
Some way of achieving similar on Ableton Live would mean I'd be more easily be able to use Ableton as a compositional tool.

Ooops - found the answer!
Add "xxx BPM" in the scene name.
Somehow I managed to miss that in the manual.

Any way to change master BPM on a scene / set of clips?
Apologies if this is a daft question, but I have a live set I'm putting together which is long MIDI clips mixed with audio.
Is there any way to automate BPM changes?
Thanks!

Re: New install location for windows installer?
Have to say - I was confused by this too (for a while).
Does seem a tad *wrong*. I don't have anything else on my system using ProgramData for its executables.

Can't authorise on Windows 7
Mornin' all! I've sent an email to Ableton support already, but presuming they're not in 'til Monday morning, thought it might be worth asking the question on here... So - Windows 7 (release version) on a desktop or laptop, both 32 bit, on-line and off-line authorisation - both mechanisms report an ...

Any way to get an XOX style interface for driving Battery 3?
This might be a daft question, and I can see long-winded ways of using clips to do this, but can anyone suggest a good way of implementing an XOX style interface under Live for driving MIDI plug-ins (or even external synths)? Ideally, I'd like to use my Jazzmutant Lemur to control each step in an XO...

Well thanks for the fascetious comments. Very useful. If you check the date of the original message and actually read it, you'll see that I sent my original support email Wednesday last week, OK, they might be on an Easter Holiday, but don't you think a polite message on the web page or forum...
