Ok its the latest beta of live, 5.0.2b6 and the light that comes on is the midi track IN indicator. So live is getting something from the controller... just not the right thing I guess.

Was wondering if somebody could point me in the right direction to gettting live working with my yamaha mfc10 footpedal? Live can see it fine and i can see the little midi signal flashing when i press a button switch on the footpedal, however live doesnt register a midi controller/key for that ...

I created a new project and a couple of days later loaded it again and it sounded like there was distortion on the tracks!! There were no effects on any of the tracks and no clipping etc either. Its kind of scared me off useing 5.0.1.
