Re: When I collect and save, where does all the copied info go?

In my experience, if you create the project on an external drive, then collect all and save, all samples go directly into the project folder.

Yes. Arc looks amazing, as usual from monome.org. I can't wait to see what apps are developed.

Re: BT's Stutter Edit is out

I don't have max4live, so I can't make any kind of comparison here, but StutterEdit is pretty cool. The Finger is pretty good, and I have been using it a lot in my setup, but the tweakability of Stutter Edit is just ridiculous. Try the demo, it's fully functional for 10 days and hog about 8% of my 2...

Re: Ampkit or Amplitube?

Oh I wasn't slamming Guitar Rig at all. I just makes me wish I had the CPU to justify buying it and making it a permanent staple in my Live setup.

@ LSZ

Looks like we had identical thoughts about Guitar Rig. Hah.

Re: Ampkit or Amplitube?

@ Tone Deft Hah, grad school has sucked away 90% of my former music making time, but I love my work. Although I do agree with you on some points, especially dialing in a good tone using those two or three underappreciated knobs on the guitar, I differ from you about get tone before using a computer....

Re: Ampkit or Amplitube?

@Tone Deft

Agreed. Damn cool, but a bit expensive for a grad student (especially since I spent my spare money on a monome kit about month ago)! I was hoping to move away from guitar hardware, but I am starting to see I may have to take stuff from both worlds.

Re: Ampkit or Amplitube?

Dunno. If it were me, I'd have created an app by which you've got an empty pedal board in front of you, and you simply drag pedals over to it from a menu at the right. You could zoom into a specific pedal, or leave the view as is. Pretty basic stuff in my mind, but.... :x Amp/cab selection would ha...

Ampkit or Amplitube?

I just got a wonderful little Ampkit Link device. I have been having great fun playing with the free versions of both amplitube and ampkit for the iPad. I would like to buy the full version of one of them, but I cannot decide. People seem to think Amplitube is a ripoff because of its additional cost...

Re: apc patches without Max4life?

There are always the wonderful midi remote scripts written by Hanz Petrov. His site and the script are both very useful for expanding the functionality of the APC 40. No Max4live necessary (which is excellent for a grad student with little or no $$ :D ) http://remotescripts.blogspot.com/p/apc-64-40....
