Re: Investigating Ableton’s Sluggish UI: Tests, Findings, and Fixes
Removing unused stop buttons in large sets increases performance. It does the trick for me in a lot of cases.

Re: Map “Select Device” to a Macro?
Well you can map a button or key from a controller to select a device or group. No problem.
It is unfortunately not possible with the twister script I am using. It only maps to parameters I guess.
And if I map the device to note C5; can I map the script to something that sends note C5 and thus ...

Re: Map “Select Device” to a Macro?
Thanks for the reply
Maybe I use the wrong phrase for macro…
There are several max devices that can map anything in the set but not to “select device”
Does anyone have a trick or knows how to do that?

I am using an Instant Twister max for live device but this does not map to “select device”.
So I figured if I can map it to a macro I can get Instant Twister to map to ...

Re: Does Live 12 utilize Intel E cores?
I just bought and installed an I9-14900K and this news to me that Ableton would not use E-cores freaked me out for sure.
I started to run a heavy set and checking the processess and the E-cores weren’t used indeed…..
At first one P-core was heavily used and all the other cores hardly. I am still ...

I am not sure. I will give that a go soon. My laptop is @4.5 now and I also want to check the difference with the i9 with HT on or off.

Re: Preset dialer
I know about the above.
But I rather see one instrument switching presets instead of having 128 instruments in a rack.
Dragging a preset to a memorybank would be easier then creating chains and fiddling with macros and chain selectors and on/off switches to save resources. So a faster workflow and ...
