Computer upgrade advice

I'm starting to think about upgrading my computer and was looking for some advice on what to use to maximize CPU headroom in Live. I'm PC based, so my first question is between AMD and Intel chips in the mid-price range ($200-300). Any opinions on that? And what makes a bigger difference for live, h...

Best advice is just be careful using uncleared samples.

my only concern is 'fair use' and educational tool' and how these terms can be applied to my own music. fair use is a legal term that does exist, so how does it difine what we do? Ignore the term "educational tool," it has no legal meaning. I also would not expect to find any sanctuary in "fair use...

I love the AU bassline. I've had three 303s, including one Devilfish, and the Bassline sounds awesome. If I had my preference, I would not go back to the silver box. They were fun while I had them, but I like Bassline a lot better because I can program it via Midi, it's a lot easier to have more com...

Figured it out. All it took was a reinstall and everything's working fine now.

Live 5 and Rebirth Rewire Problem

Help! I've had to reinstall Live (computer had problems) and now I can't get Rebirth to rewire to Live 5. When I start up Rebirth, I get an error message saying: "You Must Enable ReBirth Channels in Cubase VST's Rewire Panel Before Starting Rebirth." I think I had this problem before, but cannot fig...

Loop sampler combined with warp markers

I'm new to Live so maybe some of this is already possible or has been suggested, but I'd love to see a loop sampler (ala Intakt) that was linked to warp markers and allowed me to chop a sample up. It would be great to be able to load up a sample, set a series of warp markers to points in the sample ...
