Re: Authorization Scheme is AWFUL
point taken about NI. I never knew that. I'll make sure to save my disks!. Still, if I lose my disks, it's my fault. A PC problem that necessitates a reinstall can sometimes be my fault, and sometimes not. hard drives fail, etc. it's not dealing with ableton thats the issue, they are really cool abo...

Authorization Scheme is AWFUL
First let me say that ableton support has been really cool about the additional authorizations. Ableton's authorization is highly unique. I mean that in a bad way. The worst way. Besides IK multimedia, it is the only software that requires challenge/response, limits authorizations, relies on both ha...

Set start point of midi clip at first note:Is there any way?
Hi, I am new to ableton and have a couple questions. Is there any way to have a session view midi clip just start on the first note automatically? As of now what I have been doing is starting the clip recording, waiting 4 bars then starting to play my midi (drums in this case). I do this instead of ...

Re: Start clip on first midi note? Is there a way?
I do what you do because it's still rather easy. But there's a way to do it otherwise. Try recording with a count-in. From the "Record Warp Launch" tab in Preferences select 1 2 or 4 bars. Live won't start recording until it has counted off. If you first arm your clip, then get ready, you...
