Mapping X-Y from Hardware to Live

Not sure why I have such a hard time with this. I am trying to map NI Straylight's X/Y pad to either the joystick on my AKAI MPKmini, or my Roli Seaboard X/Y pad, but I just can't seem to get the plugin, app, and hardware to all talk to each other. Any ideas what I must be missing? I am on a Windows...

Obviosu Question: Re: Freezing and BPM

Let's say I have a track that is 25 BPM. I want to freeze some tracks. What is the array of mathematical differences if I increased the BPM to 250, froze the track, then brought the BPM back down?

Re: Midi polyphonic expression support in ableton?

Adding my upvote to the list; just got a Linnstrument and decided against buying a PUSH 2 in favor of investing in MPE-enabled softwares instead; no sense just tossing more $$$$ at prettier lights that keep making the same 2D sounds -- we're MUSICIANS first, right? If they keep denying the existence...

Re: Spitfire Audio: BT Phobos

For anyone else who is using BT Phobos and finds this thread, there's another that's non-Live specific and the devs are actively addressing Q&A across platforms, OS, DAWs, etc...: http://vi-control.net/community/threads ... 95/page-21

Re: Spitfire Audio: BT Phobos

Has anyone else encountered an issue with the instrument taking a very long time to load? I don't have issues with Omnisphere 2 nor Kontakt libraries (once batch resaved in some cases, i.e., Output), but BT Phobos sits on its "LOADING..." screen for several minutes before being able to pla...

Re: 8.0.9 Already? And no change log??

I have installed Live 8.0.9 and it immediately crashed and now kicks off DEP triggers in Windows XP.

Is there any documentation of this change at all??

8.0.9 Already? And no change log??

Is Ableton in cahoots with my ISP to overcharge me for bandwidth?? Just kidding...mostly. But seriously, we just had a significant update to 8.0.8, and now an update to 8.0.9 without a change log? Why? Also, why not go right to 8.10 (y'know, for the anniversary)? Will we be getting a changelog for t...

Re: Reduce/Truncate Project Length

Well this is awkward...I installed 8.0.5, and now I get the following error: http://lh6.ggpht.com/_PMfFHZgeVX0/SruSXIIaApI/AAAAAAAAARY/MXkl5MJieW0/s144/Ableton%208.0.5%20Issue.jpg The program will not start at all. Re: Reduce/Truncate Project Length

Christian, Indeed, you are correct, and that's the problem -- for some reason in this particular project the overall length does not resize automatically when I zoom out. I'm not sure what would cause this, as typically the arrangement does indeed truncate to the shorter length. So yes, this is unus...

Reduce/Truncate Project Length

In the Arrangement view, how do I shorten the length of the project? Normally the Clip Overview area will resize the project automatically, but it has not been working in my most recent project. I am using Live 8.0.4 on Windows XP.

Thank you!
