When I preview midi files in the Ableton browser it sounds awful! Searching for an answer I found some *really* old posts that described a basic sine wave file that Live uses for previewing MIDI that can't be changed?

Has this been fixed? Google doesn't reveal any recent complaints, so I'm hoping ...

I prefer Amplitube over Guitar Rig. Is it useful? Sure but imo Amplitube sounds better

I voted 'Suite + M4L to Suite' only because the prices for upgrade are $199 for Suite or $159 for Live. For just 40 bucks, I guess I'll take the extra pre-sets. Is there any other difference?? From what I've been reading the extra presets are the only difference for Suite + M4L owners vs. going ...

That wouldn't be a good idea, the beta is still suffering a lot of problems...
I haven't had many problems with the beta. The only reason I want a client anyway is so I can have something that is hopefully more cpu efficient than a beta

You really are new to Ableton.

They don't hang around with the likes of us cretins on the forums. And something like Push will be only dropped in small doses to get people all talking about it, asking billions of the same questions, starting hundreds of threads and getting all excited ...

Anyone used the iMPC ? What's the 'pad' response & sound quality like ?

I usesd to own an sp-404. It is very portable. That is it's *only* advantage. Ableton with a cheap pad controller (pick up an old m-audio trigger finger or some such thing from ebay) will do FAR more than any SP 404, and there is *nothing* the sp-404 could do better than ableton except be more ...

So I had this amazing combined synth patch involving a Reason Combinator Rewired on one channel, and 3 different FM8 synths with a Guitar Rig on a couple of them, all grouped and controlled by one master MIDI channel sending out the notes. I was so hoping that they would do this the other way around. Allow the whole Reason rack as a VST which then could be used by Live like any other VST.

But no, they've isolated themselves some more. Personally, Reason 6 was a step in the wrong direction, now they're running away from me. :cry ...

Might not work -> It's a Reaktor Instrument. I know that the Kore runs the Reaktor engine, but I'm also thinking that they wouldn't have created the new Reaktor ...
