Re: Analog Unison Phase?
It's just so disappointing when you find the perfect phase balance only to have it drift away after playing a few more notes. I understand the nature of the instrument is to have slightly unpredictable attributes, but to have a simple, single voice pulse layered @ 2 unison, drift from hollow bass to...

Re: apc40 channel 4 fader issue
Same thing starting happening to me on my MASTER fader. Very annoying. I'll try the old WD40 trick and see if it helps. Don't Use WD40! I can't say for sure that it will harm it, but i can't imagine how it would help. The spray contact lube is specifically for certain types of potentiometers. I rec...

Re: apc40 channel 4 fader issue
!!!This is DYI will probably void warranty!!!: My master fader was doing that. First i sprayed a tiny bit of contact lube into the fader...seriously just use a tiny bit, i'm of the understanding that you shouldn't use that stuff on some equipment. the problem immediately went away after that, but t...

Re: why do I need m4l for just using m4l devices, not developing
I'm reconsidering my previous position stated in this thread. If this collab between 74 and Ableton is going to remain strong, with stable software and support, I think the product may be seen as a great value at the current offered price. If this is the case then I would feel good about buying the ...

Re: why do I need m4l for just using m4l devices, not developing
That sounds wonderful. Let me put this question differently. For Ableton users who DO NOT WANT TO TINKER under the hood of MAX devices, a simple player environment would be very nice. I tried M4L on the beta and had almost bought it until I saw the price. Not that I don't want to do some development...

Re: Lighting up the stop clip buttons on an APC
I used a low tech fix to help me differentiate the STOP buttons from the LAUNCH buttons.
I stuck a square of red electrical tape on each stop button.
It really helped alot and maybe would be more effective than using the tri color led to visually separate the button groups.

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions
A standardized configuration on a controller provides a common skill to develop among many people...but may get boring and repetitive. A controller that is custom built, configured and "one of a kind" is special, and the source of the inventions that one day become standard, but they mostl...

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions
the highest point about the APC to me is the exclusiveness, the more or less simplicity, and finally the LED feedback..(a touch screen would be a nice replacement for the button matrix, but that can wait a few years *smile*) the wish previously discussed, was regarding APC's lack of a hardwired/exclu...

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions
X fader assignment is why i came back to this post...good timing...
i don't see it on the surface. Maybe with Max? it would be nice to have a quick modification for X fader assignment that can be done rapidly in performance.

Re: Articles of my latest "what if" wish list.
What if you had an AUDIO CLIP in the SESSION VIEW, with a start point at point A .. and .. a loop start-and-end point at B and C (respectively) then following the clip's loop end point: the audio contains a tail, fade out sort of deal.. what if the clip menu could have a parameter to ENABLE TAIL ini...
