Hmm but dummy clips or side chainig doesn't allow for rate changes :-/

I haven't figured out a way to set up a trance gate in ableton. This effect basically cuts up the audio in a specific rhythm by reducing the volume/amp at a certain rate, say 1/4 or 1/8 sounds good.

In Reason, I could set up an arpeg or 'the matrix' to ouput on/off CV signals to an audio or midi ...
