Re: Moving Warped Songs

Make sure their analysis file is moved along with the file itself. Without the analysis file, Live has no reference as to what the warping details are and just starts over. I guess another thing to consider is whether you saved the warping in the Clip Properties or if the warping is a result of the...

Re: Best way to keep warped songs when moving hard drives?

Just make sure you keep the .asd files with the original wav files after you warp them, should work fine then if you drag them into a project from Lives browser. So it has to be dragged from a project in Live's browser, but I don't have to actually collect all and save the song into the project fil...

Re: Best way to keep warped songs when moving hard drives?

The ‘clip’ is usually an additional file associated with the audio file. Not just the audio file itself. You need both. oh i see, so maybe thats my problem. So what would be the best practice for warping my whole music collection (it's very large). Keep all the clips in one project folder and the a...

Re: Best way to keep warped songs when moving hard drives?

Warp settings are saved with clips. You can save clips in your User Library, or your sets (or anywhere else actually, but the User Library is the best practice). But I've had so many instances where I save the clips and then try to drag it into another project, and it's not still warped. So not sur...

Re: Phase Flip to hear hard clipping

i'm being pedantic, however you are not "phase flipping". a change in phase is achieved by shifting a signal backwards or forwards in time. what you are doing is flipping the polarity of the signal. to be fair, this is such a common mistake that it even appears on some pro equipment (mixe...

No, you didn't do right.

Re: Phase Flip to hear hard clipping

Create an effect rack with 2 chains put your plugin in one chain in the other chain put a Utility with both channel phase inverted (if your plugin does add latency, you'd need to insert it before Utility but make sure it's not processing your sound) > You should now hear only the difference, i.e th...

Phase Flip to hear hard clipping

Hey everyone, I would like to phase flip a sound in order to hear the effects of a hard clipper like Kclip. They do this in Bitwig, but I haven't been able to replicate the results in ableton..maybe I'm doing something wrong. Can anyone share how to successfully do this? Here's what they're doing: h...

Latency in Ableton when bouncing tracks

Hey everyone : ) Something I've never understood much about is latency. I recently built a super computer for music production. It can handle large projects but at a certain point, the latency gets to be bad and when I bounce tracks, the audio is at least 50ms delayed. What is the best way to solve ...
