over dubbing into arrangment from session.
Well I thought I was a somewhat advanced user. I cant figure this one out. I usually make everything in session view. I'll set up a bunch of scenes and clips, and DJ my way through it to get a song recorded into the arrangement. I would like to be able to easily overdub changes after a project is la...

Re: volca sync/clock/transport?
Wow Thanks. Thats a lot to get started with. I had no idea the volcas sync functions were just pulses. That sounds very functional for what I want to do. Also, I got the Electribe 2s, mainly so I could sync the volcas. Thats the first thing I thought about, but I assumed I would have the same issue ...

volca sync/clock/transport?
Is there a way to sync a volca's clock, but use the start/stop on the volca? I saw a video in which a midi cable is used to run a volca. The volca's sequencer played in sync, but Ableton controlled the start/stop. I want to be able to have ableton running, and then have the volca in sync, but use it...

Drifting out of pitch??
Ok ive been stuck for an hour trying to figure this out. It seems that abletons instruments, on a particular project im working on are drifting out of tune?? Ive tried several different instruments, and any setting that may effect pitch. I loaded up an operator, on its own track, then opened an elec...

win7 to win10
Im sure this has been hammered as a topic. I am a late adopter. My ultra8 interface doesnt have drivers for windows 10. I am really apprehensive about upgrading. I feel that I'm opening a huge can of worms. My folders are scattered, I am running splice, and I never quite wrapped my head around the n...

Re: Follow action , more precise control?
Maybe I misunderstood, but here are my thoughts, if you don't mind me suggesting something else. I would consider : 1. Legato mode 2. having your drumfills always playing in another track "in the background" and use something like the crossfader to make it audible. Or just mute/unmute the...

Follow action , more precise control?
Is there a way to set up a follow action that plays the last clip that was playing. Not one just above or below, or the first/last of a group, but the one that was just playing back. Im trying to figure out how to play a scene thats a drum fill, and then jump immediately back to the what was playing...

Best hardware sequencer for me
Ableton functions as a super powerful sequencer, but I kinda miss that hardware feel. Im sure Im not alone. Im looking for a hardware sequencer to sequence all my external synths and such. Im really interested in "pattern "based sequencing. Like what the MPCs do. Set up loops, and add stuf...

Re: BUILD ME A MAX DEVICE $$
I wish I knew more about Max and programming, but I dont. It would be great to find someone local too.Thats probably wishing to much. So I assume you are proficient with Max? Do you have any Max devices out there? Any I could check out/play with? Are you on Max4live.com.

midi cc routing ?? Drums ducking for a fill ?
How can I get a midi clip playing on track 2 to send a message to turn off track 1 , only while 2 is playing. The idea is to have the drums on track 1 "duck" , or cut out while a fill on track 2 is playing. Ive tried using gates, but I just cant get it to respond quick and clean. I also tr...

using session page like an MPC or Electribe/
Is there any way to run the session page like a pattern based sequencer. Maybe a max device? Kapture was pretty impressive, I did not realize how in depth and powerful max is. It would be great to set a 4 bar loop, and what ever you do on the session page would instantly play back when it loops arou...
