Re: Slice to Midi Track: Control Tempo/Speed?

Try the searching this forum. That's a long-standing feature request, one that is major enough to require a whole another complete rewrite of the program perhaps. https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=176026 https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=183843 https://forum.ableton.c...

Re: Anyone here getting the new KORG Electribe?

I think I read that you can expand the storage with SD cards easily. for me it sounds like it is just for ur patterns and sets and not for samples itself. If that's true, then that's a clear deal breaker for me! It's true. The memory card for Electribe samplers have always been for external storage...

Re: Push with Maschine Studio

I'm curious, if you drag MIDI into Live will it bring in any automation you've made in Maschine? If my memory serves me correctly I remember someone from 'that other thread' saying that it doesn't bring in automation. Would be tempted to get Maschine if it now does. Yes, it does. From the Maschine ...

Re: Push with Maschine Studio

Cool thanks guys! I plan to use Live and Push mainly and go to Maschine for my sampling needs and/or drums if im inspired like that in maschine. How's Maschine 2.0 in Live as a plugin? Anybody running into weird issues? I'm hoping taking my patterns from maschine and turning them into clips in Live...

Re: Question about Live 9 PUSH MASCHINE workflow

Speaking of mapping keyboard shortcuts to MIDI, on OS X, there's also Keyboard Maestro. It's got built-in support for both keyboard shortcuts and MIDI, and much more.

I'm debating mk2 or Studio. Dang! Deep soul-searching going on over here! Lol
I've seen the studio like new at retailers for $699, now that the price dropped.
It's not a price drop. Just a temporary sale until end of May.

Re: Akai MPC Element for drum racks...?

I would like to get a good pad controller for drum racks. Currently I have Akai LPD8 but the problem is that it is difficult to know which drum rack slots the pads are actually controlling. And I would like to have 16 of them. You should check out Maschine. Maschine 2.1's new Live 9 templates for i...

Re: A problem myself and MANY other Maschine users are having.

confirmed for some reason forwarding MIDI notes to host via the sound midi output section doesn't work here either...(not that i used this feature much) Sounds like you're talking about something else? Are you using it as AU or VST? AU plugins don't support direct MIDI output to the host and even i...

Re: A problem myself and MANY other Maschine users are having.

In the newest version of Maschine (2.0-2.1) the ability to write midi data directly to Ableton was taken away. For many users coming from 1.8 this is a massive workflow killer. I used to be able to load up a kit and route each pad to a separate midi track then play those pads and the midi data woul...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine

I'm finding all kinds of little improvements with this update that were not even mentioned, like the prehear level now being remembered. Maschine 2.1's Live 9 templates are much improved as well, especially visual feedback where on some of the pages (display/knobs), you now get parameter name and va...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine

You also forgot: The new Grit kick engine for the drum synth ("a modern, versatile electronic kick drum – great for IDM and electro styles.") The new Shaker Performer creates tweakable, natural-sounding shaker patterns automatically. The sample recording screen now lets you sample directly...

Re: New Maschine Studio and Maschine 2.0 Update

Step automation has been improved for Maschine 2.0 so that it can affect non-consecutive steps. So now you can hold a step(s) and tweak the parameter you want and it only affects the step(s) you are holding. The held steps do not have to be continuous.

Re: New Maschine Studio and Maschine 2.0 Update

There are reasons one wants a group to be group. And further if every sound is routed to a seprarate channel in Live where would we come to? In the end there would be dozens of channels blocked for just a single sound that maybe only pops up once within a track. This is not user freindly and lots o...
