can't wait for the keyboard to come out. bought a nanokey, used it 5 or 6 times, and one day i open up my bag and it's broken. pos thing -- Korg, if you advertise it as portable, make sure it can stand up to a little bit of abuse!

Bought the Live 7 Suite in February to qualify for the upgrade to Live 8 Suite. Just downloaded the Live 8 Suite, though, and haven't been able to unlock =\ Shot off an e-mail to Ableton-- hopefully I'll get a quick resolution.

I always saw the Jazzmutant stuff as a luxury. Multi-touch monitors would easily trump them, imo, and aren't too far off.

Logic's plug ins are very good, especially the synths. That said, I was pretty unimpressed with 7.2.3 overall. It definitely lags behind a lot of the other DAWs out right now, and did not at all have that 'apple-like' speed and ease of use. Stability was an issue for me too, I ran into a lot of bug...

You should check out Logic's site on apple.com. Logic's included plugins are very, very good. Maybe not on par with Waves, NI, etc., but it's a great value for anything you'd ever need. I wouldn't go with the pro. the average life span of a lap top is 4 years. The cost of the mac book pro does not warrant the expenditure. I would suggest the Macbook, use the hell out of the machine, load it with RAM, and use it as an instrument you know you will need to upgrade at some point down ...
