Re: Bezier curves, LFO´s , snap points to beats, record automatio
I keep a blank clip in my library with various envelope shapes pre-drawn into it. Then I copy envelope portions from that clip to clips with actual midi or audio info. It's admittedly a limited way to get around this problem, but it does so in a relatively efficient manner.

Lightweight File Warping App
I would love a lightweight app that allows me to create .asd files on the go. I DJ with Live and would love a little app I could install on my USB flash drive that looks like clip view with a basic set of features. I could then warp tracks when away from my main computer and bring them back to my DJ...

Geeky Question Re: Operator's Modulation index
The "Amp" knob controls the amplitude of each oscillator in Operator. When an oscillator is modulating another oscillator, it thereby controls the amount of modulation. In the mathematics of FM synthesis, the amount of modulation is known as beta: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/may00/arti...

Re: I need a small midi keyboard with audio interface built in?
Does anyone know if any of the devices mentioned above can handle separate stereo channels for cue and main out? I'm looking for an inexpensive interface that can send one stereo out to a PA system and another to my headphones. A midi keyboard and midi controllers would be a nice bonus.

Saving Key Mappings in Default Device Presets
Chapter 16.1.1 of the manual describes how to save a default preset for a device by selecting "Save as Default Preset" after right-clicking on the device header. I would like to save key mappings in a default preset, but this doesn't seem to work. For example, I might wish to map the "...

Re: OT: tech support: extra audio output
Postscript: I actually did encounter stability issues when creating an audio device group in Core Audio. I would like to know how the person who posted the link to the amazon.com product sets up that product in Live.

Re: Be Honest - Mp3 320 or Wav
I use MP3s of full tracks because Live can search the ID3 tags even if it doesn't display them. I hear you can apply ID3 tags to .AIFF files but not .WAVs, but I haven't tried this.
Perhaps someone will write an ID3 tag viewer in Max For Live to be used as an insert device (like Spectrum)?

Re: Change keyboard shortcuts?
A free program called Ukelele should do the trick. It lets you remap the keyboard in OSX for all applications. Get it here: http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?site_id=nrsi&id=ukelele I just successfully disabled the space bar in Mac OS 10.5.6, and kept notes for everyone's benefit: Firs...

Couldn't be easier. Does anyone know if there are stability issues with using a 1-in, 1-out card for main stereo outs, and using the powerbook built-in audio output for cue?
