I completely agree. I use the manual frequently.
Ableton has goofed up so many things with the roll-out of Live 12. I hope they can redeem what goodwill has been damaged for long-time users.

Re: Ableton 10 + MAC: Drag & Drop problem
Same problem here.
Sometimes by trying again to drag the same file I can get it to work more or less properly - it then places two copies of the file back to back in the timeline.

Re: Live 10. Change the color palette?
No, I do mean how clips/tracks are randomly assigned colors. To test how colors are assigned, I inserted 100 tracks, both MIDI and Audio, and saw that Live goes through 17 colors (a good representation of the whole color spectrum) before repeating in the exact same sequence. Since there are 70 color...

Re: Live 10. Change the color palette?
Any idea how Ableton auto-assigns colors to new tracks? It seems there are certain colors it's likely to pick a lot of the time, and others it never picks. If possible I'd like to nudge it toward those colors that I use most often, in this case the pastel colors/lighter colors vs the darker or loude...

METERS!
Spectrum is great, but it would be super helpful to have something similar that shows peak and RMS meters for left/right or mid/side. This would eliminate the need to rely on VSTs for this purpose.

Re: how to make a dry/wet with return tracks?
You are right! That's exactly what I'm trying to do, to 'divert' the audio from the dry to the wet track. The additional audio track with the effects is definitely the solution I was looking for. Thanks.

how to make a dry/wet with return tracks?
I'm having a really hard time figuring out how to mute the dry signal when I send from an audio track to a return track. In the return track, I've got my effects in one chain of a rack with the dry/wet set to 100% wet. In the rack I also have a 2nd chain with a Utility object, and both Phz-L and Phz...

Yes I do, but nothing's being warped. Would it make a difference?

unwanted downsampling noise when recording MIDI to Audio
I'm experiencing a bit of unwanted noise when I am recording from one track to another. Primarily I've noticed it when I'm recording from a MIDI track (Operator or Sampler) to an Audio track, and what it sounds like is that there's some downsampling happening. Anyone else experience this? What can I...

Clip Loop Interpolation
It would be so nice to have an interpolation option for the loop within a clip, just as you have the 'crossfade' option in Sampler for the loop region. There are times when I want to smooth out the loop but can't do it without the extra step of taking it into arrangement view and doing some fading a...

get tempo from Live set
I know this seems like a totally obvious question but I'm not finding the answer anywhere. My apologies in advance if I've overlooked something simple. I cannot figure out how to get my M4L patch to give me the tempo of the Live set. Basically what I want is to sync to a time value for groove~ which...

Right, so pitchbend applies to the synth as a whole, and not individual notes? So that even by using [poly] there's no way around it...
