Re: Intermittent change of Cue volume

You have a LOT of stuff going on there. I’m not entirely sure what each thing is for. But chances are, something in all of that is causing your issue. Also, you do have a lot of things on that you probably don’t need on and it could make things a little more tidy. The first thing I would do is turn ...

Re: Intermittent change of Cue volume

An image of your Midi preferences would probably help to reveal the issue.

Re: Non-Linear Rhythmic Patterns

For something like in the video you may either need a plug in, like xfer Cthulhu https://xferrecords.com/products/cthulhu (or there may be free arpeggiation plugins out there), or maybe some kind of Max for Live plugin. The Max route, I’m sure there are some either immediately searchable on the site...

Re: Unable to set Warp-Marker

It can be unlooped. It’s the other way around. You can’t loop unless Warp is turned on. As for the markers, make sure Warp is on. They are the larger , brighter markers that show up, not the transient ones (gray). Warp markers should appear automatically if you try to move a transient marker around ...

Re: MIDI recognized but not useable

To be honest, I don’t know a Lot lot about that controller. It might have a notes triggering mode but it sounds like you’re making use of the fx control modes. For fx control, it likely has 3 kinds of controls on the touch pad. One is the sensing when your finger touches or stops touching the surfac...

Re: Looking for the simplest way to stretch an audio clip to fill a full four bars... what am I missing here?

You only need one, but the second one might make it easier to conceptualize and wouldn’t do any harm. As long as you don’t add markers in the middle and don’t quantize you’ll retain the original timing. But stretching affects sound quality. After stretching, choose a warp mode that sounds best. Prob...

Double click the clip to view clip properties. Add a single marker at the start. Pull on the transient markers without adding a marker until it fits four bars.

Re: Programing Notes With Keyboard

There is a step record function. It is activated by turning on the headphone icon in a midi clip.

You hold the notes and then hit an arrow key. You can also midi map the arrow keys.

Re: Mapping knobs to filter freq permanently

In order to map, you have to go into Live’s midi preferences and turn on ‘Remote’ for your controller.

Are you able to midi map to a filter frequency control? Or even just the volume of a channel?

Re: Unwanted Synth/Audio Distortion on iPhone

The Eq thing might not be a bad idea. In the Settings app you can set various sound options for the Music app. I have mine all set to off as a precaution. If you have yours on, that could affect playback. If that is not a factor, try loading the music in an app that allows you to use an EQ. Not sure...

Re: Playing warped songs independent from project time

Something like might require using non-clip means, like a Sampler or the Looper. If the loop is short enough, even using Delay with feedback can be an option. If you’re changing tempo as this is looping, those are the primary options. If you just have something that s a different tempo than the set,...

Re: Metronome sync problem

There is always an amount of latency between when you play your instrument, when the computer receives and processes the data, and when it spits it back out. If you monitor specifically from Live as you play, you’ll experience a degree of latency depending on various settings and processor capabilit...
