Re: my samples sound horrible once i put them inside the track
In addition to the two great tips above, also make sure you are comparing the before and after at the same volume. Our hearing (Ears + Brain) EQ and compression balance changes depending on the volume. Usually we think things sound better when played louder.

Re: Way to export long arrangement to multiple files?
You have to export manually each section, but it won't take long if you already have your markers (Locators) set to the sections you want to cut. To export a section: - Right click on the beginning marker/locator of the section - Select "loop to next Locator" (the arrangement loop brace wi...

Re: Single track in red, but master track at -3db
My master track for the final mix consistently registers between -3db and -6db. But on one content track, after placing a meter at the end of the device chain, that meter registers at +3db. ........ It is almost as though the meter at the end of the chain in the content track is reading prefader or...

Re: PC Audio Interface recommendation?
I agree with Tarekith, simply go with a smaller RME card - as the converters and drivers are top notch, they are expandable (ADAT) and extremely flexible with Total Mix. UC/UCX/UCX2 8 inputs = 2 XLR/Line, 6 Line 8* Outputs = 6 Line, * 1 Stereo Headphone 2 MIDI IN/OUT (Except UCX2, it has one MIDI IN...

Re: Is it safe to upgrade to Windows 11?
Using Windows 11 here (came installed on my new laptop) for both Live 10 and 11, with lots of VST plugins - no issues producing, teaching or doing Live shows on it so far.

Re: A plugin's problem and a new function ask
2.A new function ask: I have installed vst2 plugins like serum to many folders (vst2 installer must set a installation folder), but live can only use 1 custom floder to search vst2 plugins, I guess I maybe installed vst2 plugins to 5 or 6 different floders XD I want to set many and many folders to ...

Re: "The VST Plugin Could Not Be Found"
Hi Slifty, apparently, if you contact Ohmforce explaining the issue, they will provide you with a solution - as suggested by the last post on this thread: https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?t=221066 Edit: Oh sorry, I just saw that you mentioned Sylenth1. For Sylenth1 I would contact Lennar Digi...

Re: Restart Scene at a Chosen Place
Session View and Arrangement View are optimized for different types of tasks - which is normal, as otherwise you would only have one view. If you are playing back the project parts by simply hitting "play" and letting the project parts play-out by themselves, then Arrangement View is reall...

Re: Instrument Input (Mic fine; Guitar nothing) SOLVED
You tell me Mark. Would it be helpful to admit you'd plugged the guitar into the headphones jack? (and if I'd remembered the jacks that take the 3-pin (microphone) plug also accommodate a 1/4" phono jack I wouldn't have made the dumb mistake...) Glad you got it to work! And yes, I think it is ...

Re: Adjusting Track Volume After Recording
There are many ways to do this, but since you already seem to know of the track volume fader, then instead of automating it, simply adjust it to the level you want and leave it at that setting. Nothing will be automated unless you actually automate it. Here is where you can adjust the volume (indica...

Re: Instrument Input (Mic fine; Guitar nothing)
Basically check each step of the audio signal chain for potential problems and confirm to yourself one by one that they are indeed working. - check if the guitar volume is above 0 - check if the guitar cable is good. What if you plug in the guitar elsewhere (input 1 for example), do you hear it? - c...
