Note to self, reboot before posting a problem.

After rebooting the issue has resolved itself. Funny it was the only thing that didn't work. oh well...

Hey Jörg,

Using Mac OSX 10.6.2

Was tested on another Mac OSX 10.6.2 machine and showed the same behaviour.

What machines/OS's have you tested this on?

ok obvious things firsst, but do you still get the same crackles if you have a space of say 8 bars at the start of your track before anything happens..

And can you set a sort of pre-roll of a couple of seconds (might basically give everything a chance to sort itself out before doing what it needs ...

Track Start Position

Hi, when I take a track in ableton 5 I have noticed that the song start seems to be a bar and a bit on from the actual tracks start point... Can someone tell me how to get rid of this?

jeez, which beta was it and do you still have it :)

Yeah if timestretching was sorted Ableton would be an absolutely amazing product... i find its versatility just incredible, but this is really causing me to re-think how best to use it...

yeah agree, guess re-picthing is the way to go for dj-ing... which is a total shame as personally timestretched would suit me so much better...

Hi, have to say i've noticed poor quality... It fine when going through a pa in a club, but when doing dj sets for radio or for cd's the sound quality is really aparrant...

I've messed with all the timstretch features and whatever I do the sound suffers...
