Re: PC USERS: What DAW are you using in addition to Live?

Reaper always felt like a giant cluttered mess. Sonar I just could never get into, I actually own the full sonar x3 after getting the base for cheap and a super cheap upgrade deal but could never clicked with it... "Reaper always felt like a giant cluttered mess" "Sonar I just could ...

My pair came with spikes as well, be...

Re: PC USERS: What DAW are you using in addition to Live?

BTW if your thinking about studio one a kvr seller is selling producer edition for 100$ right now (though i would ask and make sure that its V2 since they dont specify). Thats the usual sale price (which you just missed their last sale). Usually producer is good enough if you dont need all the maste...

Re: PC USERS: What DAW are you using in addition to Live?

Reaper always felt like a giant cluttered mess. Yes by default its a mess, but actually it can be VERY minimal and organized if you want. You can rename, delete, add and reorganize every item in menu and context menu, remove elements from GUI etc etc...Yes its not for everyone, but it can be anythi...

Re: PC USERS: What DAW are you using in addition to Live?

Studio one. I tried a couple of the more traditional daws and studio one just felt the most natural to me. Reaper always felt like a giant cluttered mess. Sonar I just could never get into, I actually own the full sonar x3 after getting the base for cheap and a super cheap upgrade deal but could nev...

Re: Bitwig is the Killa!

I was of course joking about my time frame calculations. perhaps I should have ended it with the words "Half Life 3 confirmed" to drive my idiotic point home. Of course, that wasnt meant for you, just at all the people proclaiming them as wonderful devs because they are churning out bugfi...

Re: Bitwig is the Killa!

them churning out fixes doesnt really tell you anything about future progress, give it at least 6mo for all the initial fixes to die down. For all you know they could have had these change requests ready to go but wanted to start with a single working stable product who's bugs they were already awar...

Re: The Bitwig evaluation thread

Ok the note expression feature is awesome. I guess something like this has already existed in Cubase for a while? I'd really to see this implemented in either Live or Logic. Actually it's weird that it doesn't exist in Logic. This is the only really intriguing aspect of bitwig for me. What I don't ...

Re: The Bitwig evaluation thread

This is my branz after reading these bitwig threads. Of course it has potential. But it's a 400usd pricetag. That's a lot of money for "potential" And thats what Im left with as well. As with anything dealing with software people eventually start bitching at the dev's about not supporting...

Re: The Bitwig evaluation thread

yea I dont think you can. You cant pick individual elements from other racks to use as inputs to other things, sidechain or otherwise. You have to take entire tracks audio output, or maybe just whole devices (cant remember which at this point)

Re: The Bitwig evaluation thread

The package managgement is good, the update system works, the indexing of my audio and music drives was so swift I blinked and nearly missed it. The browser is good enough. the multi monitor system seem quite flexible. The multi-document facilities look interesting but are unavailable to demo users...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration

There is definitely something shillastic about his behaviour on the KVR forum. But it seems to pretty much mirror what he did here. Seems to be his modus operandi that he is basically attracted to the newest shiny thing, purports to beta test and create tutorials in order to get a free copy. Seems ...
