To my understanding it's still running on the M4L engine but they implemented the program into Live.
I'm still curious if the new devices load up as fast as native Live devices. I haven't seen that anywhere yet.

I just watched a long 'new ableton 10 features' video which shows the new clip drag and select ways. Top of the clip = dragging, bottom of the clip = making selection. Yeah, this is definitely one of the reasons I'm not using it aswell.

Great read! If the rewrite actually fixed this problem I really hope things like modulation/automation devices will happen soon. As I read it you want a device that will be used to automate other devices. That would be something very different than any existing Live devices, which only output audio or MIDI. 'nuff said. I've wanted this since 2009 and I know there are many others with me. Over the years I've tried the Max4Live LFO but in hindsight it's just ridiculous. I have to install another program (half a gig in size) and start it up/run it parralel to Ableton Live just to have my EQ parameter auto...

Ohhhh, like that! Yeah, I'm familiar with phase but this changes the sound for all the tracks that are send to the return track. I want to be able to change it per track. Great idea though! I would never thought about that.
