Automating parameter using MIDI notes.
Hi, I'd like to automate a parameter of an audio effect to the MIDI value (frequency) of the notes playing. Is there a plug-in/effect in ableton that can take midi note info and send it as automation information? I'd like to tune the frequency parameter of the Erosion effect to the MIDI that's playi...

Re: Native LFO
To my understanding it's still running on the M4L engine but they implemented the program into Live.alec.tron wrote:+1 for native Live LFO/s without work-arounds or M4L.
c.
I'm still curious if the new devices load up as fast as native Live devices. I haven't seen that anywhere yet.

Re: Ableton 10 suggestions
I just watched a long 'new ableton 10 features' video which shows the new clip drag and select ways. Top of the clip = dragging, bottom of the clip = making selection. This is the exact opposite of Pro Tools, is there an option to switch these around? I think I'll go crazy if I have to mentally swit...

Re: Native LFO
Finally it's time to crack open this topic again! So M4L is completely integrated into Live as of Live 10, which might solve our problems. I've opted out of the beta program a long time ago, anyone here able to try out the new LFO device? I'm super curious if the loading times are the same as the na...

Re: Native LFO
I think even a habitual Max user might appreciate a few official devices being given native versions to increase efficiency. Especially considering that many of the native devices were previously prototyped in Max (EG: the grain delay ). So there is precedent. hypothetically: if The LFO and Convolu...

Yeah, this is definitely one of the reasons I'm not using it aswell.Michael Hatsis wrote:would be nice. I won't use mfl because there's no guarantee that when reloading projects later on down the line that mfl stuff will load up w all settings intact.

Re: Native LFO
Great read! If the rewrite actually fixed this problem I really hope things like modulation/automation devices will happen soon. Live starts to feel like outdated software that tries to be hip by repeating old tricks. Couldn't agree with you more, i have taken the plunge myself and purchased bitwig...

Re: Native LFO
As I read it you want a device that will be used to automate other devices. That would be something very different than any existing Live devices, which only output audio or MIDI. Couldn't it work like a MIDI device? Send a constant midi signal to a parameter, chosen by the user. It's possible by h...

'nuff said. I've wanted this since 2009 and I know there are many others with me. Over the years I've tried the Max4Live LFO but in hindsight it's just ridiculous. I have to install another program (half a gig in size) and start it up/run it parralel to Ableton Live just to have my EQ parameter auto...

Re: One knob to controll two send knobs.
Ohhhh, like that! Yeah, I'm familiar with phase but this changes the sound for all the tracks that are send to the return track. I want to be able to change it per track. Great idea though! I would never thought about that.
