FR- play nice with .CAF

I'm sure this has been stated elsewhere.

But I'd love Life to import .CAF Apple loop formats. I love some of the content on the Jam Pack libraries.

Easy work around, just drag them into another program bounce, re-import to Live. It would still be nice to just drag them straight in.

Re: Audio Engine Test - Live Versus Pro Tools Versus Logic

* At AES 2009 in NYC, The designer of the Prism Orpheus told me he thinks Live is the most neutral - what goes in is what goes out - and that he uses it to test his Firewire interface. Prism only makes top-of-the-line converters That is an amazing quote! Prism' products are fantastic. Only seconded...

Re: good monitors??

Hello anyone know of a decent pair of studio monitors i can get a around £250?? I'd honestly spend the money on headphones if that is your budget.. you will get a far more accurate mix with a fairly high end set with that budget.. as to monitors if you are only using them to play around with...

Re: I've come to the end of my Live journey because I'm tired...

I was in the same boat.... Mac and Presonus Studio One Pro... Fixed most of your gripes in my world... I still use Live.. Live, but everything else is rock solid now. Killer deal going on now as well during the Namm show (Studio One Artist for $20.11... which can then be used to upgrade to Pro versi...

Re: What's your favorite Partner Instrument?

Thanks for the feedback everyone, exactly what I was looking for. It's a shame the instruments are taking such a cpu hit... I'm hoping Ableton 9 addresses both the 64 bit and multicore processing issue. So far Logic and Studio One have been the best as far as multicore is concerned. Has anyone found...

Re: What's your favorite Partner Instrument?

Anyone else? I've spent the last hour searching here in the forum and an entire web-wide search and I can't seem to find many reviews on these products. There are of course reviews on Sonic Couture's, Pure Magnetic, and Sample Lab's, websites, but I can't find anything on the pianos. Does anyone hav...

What's your favorite Partner Instrument?

Hey all, I'm slowly converting all my studio sounds into Live for my gigs. How good are the Partner Instruments? I've downloaded and toyed around with the free Partner Compilation (thanks Ableton), but I'm curious about all of your thoughts. If you know of another thread where this is being discusse...

Ableton Forum

This is sort of a wishlist post but not for Ableton Live, but for the forum here...feel free to move/forward this post to wherever it would be useful. I was wondering if the Ableton team could put up a few other Forum sections for the bigger product groups they have. I would personally really apprec...

Re: TouchAble - complete controller for Ableton Live & IPAD

Is the iPad velocity sensitive? In other words can you use the drum pads MPC style? Thanks. I have an iTouch, and was about to purchase a Euphonix Artist series setup when I started noticing more and more App controllers...AC-7 Pro, Griid, and now TouchAble...amazing products. I guess my only questi...

What is your favourite company for Live Packs?

Aloha!

What are your favorite Ableton Live Packs? I normally purchase for Kontakt but am loving Sampler so I thought I'd do a little digging on who is making the bast Samples for Sampler.

Thanks!

Re: THE BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9

1. +1 for Convolution Reverb! (Plus a nice library of IR's to get you going).... collaboration with Focusrite anyone? 2. +1 for Dual Screen support 3. GUI: Although I love the simplicity in Ableton's GUI, it is beginning to feel a little dated, it would be nice if there was just a little 3d action i...

Any having trouble with dragging .aif files into Ableton 8?

Hey all, I've been trying to work around converting some of the tight .CAF files from Logic into Live 8. Before I forget does anyone have a way to batch convert these or know of any good programs? I've just been opening them up in Quicktime and exporting audio as .aiff. Couldn't get Soundtrack Pro t...

 It seems to me that The "DJ" focus of LIVE sometimes blinds them to some of the normal and essential features of other DAW's. I agree on this, workflow is halted in the sequencer view, and although Live 6 did refine some of the recording features they still need to refine the sequencer view (...
