I just got my Ecler NUO4 last week and I've been getting my MIDI assignments set for Ableton and Traktor.

The problem I have is that the .tks file for Ableton (it's for Live 5????) does not seem to wanna work right with the X-fader. I tried the different settings to no avail.

Any suggestions ...

Has anyone had anyone bought a mac refurb? I checked it out today and it had some deals on the macbook pro.

I just have to say, i compared the HR824´s to the 8030s....i have to say that the hr824´s sounded very harsh and weak in the lower regions.....it might have been the room, but the were next do each other and the 8030´s sounded better and clearer...

One more thing to add, if you opt for the sub be sure to get the
mackie SWA1501 active sub. It sounds crisp and clean and has a built in
X-over.

Definitely go the route of the sub if you can. It makes all the difference in the world! Trust me. Until I bought my sub I used an outboard dbx compressor/limiter that I ran very light compression (very light) and that helped me out a little. The sub has helped me to be able to push them a little ...

I'm partial to my mackie HR824's. The flat reponse and sound quality are excellent!
