Live 8 - Processor Load
Can anyone tell me why oh why every track in my live set is running at 35-40% load.
On Live 7 they were averaging about 15%.
There are occassional spikes to 100% which cause the audio to skip - which is a pain cos I play with a drummer. This never happened in 7.
The only way around is to Freeze ...

Re: 8.05b10 dropouts when launching clips with APC
Was posting in another 'dropout' thread.
RAM button fixes it alright.
I never had to use the RAM button on previous versions.
Why now?
My clips are max 8 bars long. No massive samples. Has Live become rubbish at reading a hard drive?

Re: L8.0.8 recurring drop-out when playing set first time
Full day today working on stuff and loads more drop outs.
Normally on playing track for first time after starting Live and occasionally on clip launch.
Didn't notice cpu spikes but the drop outs are horrible.

Re: L8.0.8 recurring drop-out when playing set first time
I'm getting the exact same thing - not everytime but maybe 4 out 5 times.
Normally happens the first time I load up a set within the first 10 seconds of playback. Sometimes mid set when I change patterns.
These tracks were rock solid on Live 7.
Running XP SP3 and Live 8.0.8

Sorry - I mailed in the details and log file.
I'll figure out which version I'm using this evening as see if I can find how to update it.
Thanks.

Waldorf PPG Wave 2V problem
Live 8 / XP Service Pack 3
When I try to open a Live 7 session in Live 8.0.5 that uses Waldorf PPG Wave 2V I get a serious error message and live crashes or rather says it has to close.

Re: XP Process Problem
Upgraded to Live 8 and the same problem happened but I figured out what was wrong.
I use an RME Multiface with PCMCIA card.
When not connected to the multiface I leave the PCMCIA card in and run from ASIO4ALL.
The problem only seems to happen when the card is in but not connected to the Multiface ...

XP Process Problem
Running Live 7.0.15 on XP SP3.
I'd been having intermittent problems with Live hanging and think I have figured out what is causing it.
When I quit Live it takes up to 5 minutes for the process to dissappear from the task manager. Problem happens if I open Live again before the process has gone ...
