Re: Slim Phatty VST Editor

"They" in this case are ReKon, who have been extremely uncool about failing to fix a critical bug in the Windows version of the VST Little Phatty editor for >6 months now. This has kept us from releasing an update which works well in Live. If any of you are using a Mac, email me at amos at...

New album - live heady beats & drones - free download

This fairly defies narrow genre labels, but it's worth a listen if I may say so. :) continually-evolving beats and bass, full of granular microtweaks and sonic brain food. Released 2008 on the Timetheory netlabel. ---> Somasen - A Journey Through Configurational Space <--- Enjoy! [edit] oh hey; 800+...

the camera shutter backbeat is very funky - nice icy, sophisticated vibe here. The bass and guitar sample seem kind of discordant with each other though; maybe it's just me... is there supposed to be a tension there, or are they in tune and I can't tell, or ? checkin' out your other tunes on soundcl...

digging this very much! Xxxtremely nice production; crispy and crunchy with great sound design and editing. Nice mix across the sound spectrum. NIN influence is heavy on V.E.Reflex Dub - that ain't a bad thing... this is slick n nasty, very oldskool, very up to date. Basically my favorite thing I've...

So this is a pure impromptu set? or did you have some kind of direction planned? i am interested in how you worked the direction. Hi Si; thanks for listening! This was pure impromptu with a slight amount of prep work - basically I had set up a simple hip-hop beat and the chain of plugins that I wan...

http://www.funny-games.biz/images/pictures/40-attention-red.jpg hahaha let me try your patience with my repetitive grooves... seriously, just find a fun craft project or something to work on, and throw on this set in the background... or smoke a bunch of hash, space out and listen to it on headphon...

maxi-minimalism: live improv set

repetitive funky beats and bouncing bass drones take you on a 45min journey through a slowly evolving groovescape. put it on your iPod and listen on the train... all constructed and tweaked in realtime. kicks

Yes I have been the happiest with the klick/boom kicks
when I make a full-range frequency sweep of a sine wave, with a good curve...
then EQ out the middle. Just leave the high and low. I adjust the boundaries of the notch filter depending on the mix the kick is to sit with.

Cheers~!

Very nice chilled-out groove, very minimal but lush in the background textures... I found the snare builds a little more oldskool than my taste, but I recognise that's just me - they're very classic. Good groovy stuff, would definitely work to warm up a dancefloor.
