thanks for the feedback. well it's a roughmix, so your comments help me to adjust it a bit. yet I think the performance will not make it to an album, we'll have to cut more versions before we're satisfied. we used an akg c411 for the bass (attached to the top), stereo overheads for the drums + seper...

dropouts using internal soundcard of my macbook
this is my system: macbook, 1.83, 2 gigs of ram, mac os 10.5.2, live 6.0.10 we recorded some songs with 7 tracks yesterday (use some compressors and eq and 1 master reverb) and as the motu stays in the studio, i wanted to listen to it through the internal card of my macbook. but sound keeps dropping...

My electronicjazz-trio guavajelly will hit the stage in cologne on sunday, february 25th at the boogaloo in cologne, roonstr. 19 at 9 p.m.
we use live excessive both for firing samples as well as for on the fly modulations.

do you guys with the HUGE setups get paid to make music or is it more of an expensive hobby? makes me feel like a bum :evil: im only rockin a computer with a midi controller... Like me. if you are trying to get a 'ghosty/breathy' type sound, I think you want lots of compression followed by heavy fuzz distortion followed by thick chorusing or close delays, with highs and upper mids EQ'ed well back to dull the bite, and also run some through a send to grain delay, with one of the 'w...
