Duh. Yeah, that just occurred to me (the no can do part.) I'm sure the devs want to smack me...a meter map would only work with a timeline I think.

Thanks.

Meter and tempo maps in Live?

How would I do this in Live 5 or 6?

I want to program a tempo and meter change in the middle of a set.

So at measure 100 (for example) change from 4/4@132 bpm to 3/4@66 bpm.

Please tell me I can do that in Live. :) I'll be ecstatic.

you can - I have, and I had no problem getting a reasonable price either
My mistake. Don't sell your 1.x license if you want to keep using 3.x. :)

An Additional question: The Ishkur site the Gyro linked to is entertaining and interesting.

Does anyone know of any other site like that? Maybe with differing opinions?

I'm not a synthesis expert, and I tend to use presets and tweak them a bit. (*gasp* the horror! :) ) I've never used Reaktor, but I do own and use Reason. It may not be to your tastes, but listen to this as you read: http://starkaudio.com/music/Runnin2.mp3 It's mostly tweaked presets with a couple s...

Yes, curiosity can be scary, and rewarding! :) As far as asking for "style", it's more of an educational request. There's another thread where I was asking for help in learning the history/origin of a lot of the new styles I'm hearing here. This thread is my request (and your chance) to ex...

Sounds decent. Mix needs some work (though I'm no expert.) Your vocals are very "in your face" and the rest is somewhat pushed back into the soundstage.

The rhythm gets a bit spastic at times and seems to clash a bit with the slow ballad-y vocals in places.

Sounds like potential though. :)

Thanks Gyro (and others). Yes, I know no one likes to be pigeon-holed, but in order to describe a piece to people, you need to relate it to something. So based based on the guide Gryo pointed me at (and I have no idea how accurate that guide is) the majority of what I'm hearing here is in the "...

Tell me about your music.

The majority of music being created with Live is not what I'd call "average". If you have something online you're proud of, put a link here and tell me about your music. 1) Why do you make music? 2) What do you call your "style"? 3) How long have you been making music? I'm very c...

I'm out of the loop. Literally.

Just out of curiosity, I sorted the memberlist by number of posts, then listened to the music for the top 20 or so posters who have music online. Someone please educate me or point me to a site to explain the styles of music I heard. I'm fairly average, and a great deal of what I'm hearing, while in...

Those are good prices. I can't find complete details on the warranty, but will call. I did find this:

http://www.m-techlaptops.com/warranty.htm

But it doesn't say if they cover accidental damage. Do they?

Sounds good. Some of the autopans (if they were autopans) are so abrupt it sounds like clipping. Is that intended?

It's a little thin on the low end, but it's very clean. :)

Have any more to share?

I assume you're performing/DJing with it? I don't know what your requirments are. I'd just go with a midrange Dell, and pay the extra $200 for the "Complete Care" warranty, more memory and a faster drive. The point with the warranty is it'll be covered if it gets dropped, bumped, spilled i...

DXi support.

It would be very nice if Live could also use the DXi's I have from Sonar.

Is this in the pipeline? Just curious.

The easiest way is to do this:

1) Left click on the "help" menu.

2) Select the "Lessons table of contents" option.

3) Do the lessons.

4) (Optional step) RTFM.

Ok, now that the obvious is covered. What are you trying to learn how to do?
