Re: A tuner device?
There are some tuners available for free as VST or AU plugins, but I think it's a waste do have to fire up a 3rd party plug-in to keep your instrument tuned.

Re: How did you learn ableton live?please share your story.
I started using Live about 1 1/2 years ago, still I don't feel that I master everything in Live. It's kinda like learning Photoshop or similar. You never need to master everything in the application, at least not at once! Personally I purchased Live Suite boxed edition, so I got the manual in paper ...

Re: AlwaysDisplayPlugins: Shows AU/VST even if Live is backgroud
Try to repair the permissions on your HD. Sometimes help with strange error situations... (done through the Disk Utility) As for the 200mb allocated for SIMBL, I dont think that's effective RAM usage, just a boundary for the app to work in. I think SIMBL is really just a scripting interface to the s...

How to simulate this instrument? ( Gotan Project )
This is a bit off-topic, but does anybody know what instrument they use in Gotan Project's "Vuelvo al Sur", that sounds like an accordion or something?
I want to use this sound in one of my projects.
I have Ableton Suite with all content.
Tnx
Chris

Re: whats the best sample editor to get?
For Mac, I use "Twisted Wave" as a sample editor. Works fine.
Actually, it works really nice. Very fast on large files as well...

Re: With each new update of Live 8...
Sorry if this is dumb..... I have 8.2 Suite. I want to keep 7.10 since it has been the most stable. I found recently though that I still have 6LE, 8.1 (buggy as hell on my system) and 8.1.3 installed. Can I just drag 6LE and 8.1 to the trash or will this somehow mess with the 8 Library. 7 has a sep...

Sounds like you're on a Mac... Then, if you want the new version, yes, it would be wise to thrash the old package.

Session Drums / Drum racks combined with EZDrummer as plugin
Hi. I'm really fresh to this whole DAW, VST/AU plugins, drum machines, well, the works. I've made the decision regarding the main software, as I've purchased the Boxed Suite Live 8. Live has a new way of doing things compared to the sparse experience I have with traditional, more linear sequencers. ...

Question about EXS-24 Instruments in Live 8
I have a bunch of EXS-24 instruments from Apple Logic. When I try to use them in Live 8 i get a message that i need "the product Sampler" to overcome this limit. Isn't Sampler a part of the full Live 8 Package? If not so, what are my options? these are the regular .exs/.iff combination to ...

Solved: Pre-Purchase Question regarding Live 7 LE/ Live 8
NO LONGER RELEVANT, BOUGHT LIVE 8. :P Hi! I'm a hobbyist musician, primarily looking for a good program to record my electric guitar, vocals and some acoustics. Off course, I need to fill in drums, bass beats etc. using software, and mix down the whole enchilada. I'm using a brand new MacBook Pro, a...
