Live 6 also plays better with a wacom tablet now - there were a few bugs that seem to have disappearred - ( the worst one being adjusting clip gain - if you forgot to do the pia workaround it would accidentally set clip gain to 24dB !!!!!!! )

on my dual G5 2 gig ( 3.5 gig RAM)

I just had a quick go and in Live 6 it seemed to play set's it was stumbling on in live 5

not very sciantific but I had happy ears - it was literally dropping out when it came across plug in intensive sections....

will try and push it a bit later but so far so ...

it's been a bad batch for me I'm afraid

I had bought tonnes of stuff too -

then I bought some mics from red audio - they accidentally got shipped by sea - tho I had paid for air.... took 3 months to get here

3 years ago I bought a fairlight from a guy in australia - fully working with 16 in and ...

for sure it's m-audio - but they are selling the device..So they should support it.

It seems others have suffered! which makes me feel better that I'm not the only "scmuck"

maybe others will rethink purchasing hardware on line - as it is definitely much easier to walk into a real shop and kick up ...

Well I think it alerts people to the difficulties they might encounter trying to return products that are faulty..

I bought LIVE 5 bundled with the mk 449

when it arrived it looked fine...

didn't get around to plugging it in straight away - wasn't crtitical and I was busy on another project.

Any how a few weeks later later I plugged it in -MIDI was screwy - notes on were random -

after more than a month of ...

I bought revision - but has a coupla drawbacks.... can't run some plug ins ( cos live is a slave ) and can't rewire reason into it- which is something I like to do...

DUAL SCREEN PLEASE!!! like the sequencer window that breaks awy in reason....

browser improvements welcome too - take a look a digibase to see how it's done..

CPU lightness ( 4 WAS better.....)

yeah the little faders and knobs are buggy, like too senstitive. Using my tablet I use the stylus to drag and drop stuff,draw envelopes, velocity, VST params, etc., but when using the little tiny knobs and stuff in LIVE I usually just tap it to select it and use the arrow buttons. .

that would be my dream interface actually!

don't think those tablet PC's have really got the horse power??

nice tip about using the arrows BTW

tablets are great cos they are so predictable- mouse is inprecise!

maybe go onto pandora.com and see if there's any orb basslines u like..
