The "Auto-Select" button on the drum-rack (bottom-left button on the DrumRack device in Live) is probably deactivated. Turn it on and you should be all set.

Button Feedback on Push always reflects the untransformed MIDI-notes (i.e. the notes at the beginning of the MIDI-device-chain) and therefore, what you are trying to achieve is currently not possible (but it's an interesting usecase we will take into consideration).
