Got a brand new centrino notebook and a 12" PowerBook with 1,5 Ghz.
The Centrino is faster. But working with the powerbook is just "feeling" much better.

I had no major crashs on the centrino but i still think that the powerbook is much more realiable. The new installed pc behaves strange ...

I have recorded 16 Tracks simutaniously on a G3 Lombard PowerBook (333mhz) with an PCMCIA Firewirecard and Live 5! Even FX where useable if you use the freeze function! The GUI is reacting very slow, but audio works without dropouts...

Soundtrack Pro is a great Sample Editor mit some of the Logic Pro Plugins. The Match EQ and the Verb are really great. For Noisereduction i prefert SoundSoap, too.
I have used Wavelab on the PC, but i like Soundtrack better!

This would be great for every mac user! We don't want to use live under windows. But we need some extra performance!

Trash is the best sounding distortion plugin! I own much tube gear (fender, mesa boogie, laney, marshall, vox, ...). Much better than Amplitube or Line6 stuff! Guitar Rig ...

To have something like Logic Node would be really cool!

Skins should be standard XML. So we could build our own.

Just testet Soundtrack at a friends video company. It's really great software! I was using Wavelab on the PC but this is way better!

What are the limitations in the demo version? Are all presets playable or is there a timelimit? To have the presets only, would be okay untill i have enough money to buy a icense.

Is Operator included, when you buy a new Live 5 license?
