This thread got me thinking though - maybe i'm in the camp of people who want to not hear a difference and so don't... maybe I've been wrong about live all along and my ears are shit... not entirely impossible given the amount of time i spend in loud venues. so... simple test to solve the question.....

excellent talk on a lot of the myths that surround dithering, etc... worth watching.

It covers a lot of perceived differences in sound quality - to cut an hour long lecture short - if you want to hear a difference, you'll hear it.

max for live licencing

Hi.

I have Live installed on both my studio machine and my laptop (Live's licence agreement lets you use one licence for two machines). Does the same apply with max for live? ie can I legally activate one copy of max for live on both machines?
