Hmm, I already have the monomulator midi busses in the in- and outputs of the APC control surface..may that be the problem?
I thought it shouldn't cause any trouble since the internal mappings are the problem, not some midi-mappings.

activating the "swallow midi message" does not work..

i think the problem is, that the original functionality is not sent via midi but through an instant mapping. so theres nothing to swallow, or am I wrong?

Another problem is, that when I use the Bome, I end up with buttons or faders with 2 functionalities. Let's say I want to map the "+" key to the metronome-button on the APC40 so i can zoom in on the wav. I start by making a new Translator in Bomes. I capture MIDI while pushing the Metronom...

So.. did someone figure out how to assign the faders in the slider-mode of the monomulator? I see that it sends different midi-notes when in the grid- or the slider-mode, but how can I use this to control effects like he does on the video. he unfortunately does not show how to map the sliders. why didn't I think of remapping instead of just deleting the functionality?
guess I wanted to know how to mess with the instant mappings.

i think you need to save the clip (with the warped track; .alc) and then you can load that clip in every other live-set. you can do that by dragging the clip into the file browser.
the clip is associated with the .wav, so as long as you don't move the .wav the saved clip always knows where to find it.

you could assign the loop-set and loop-length buttons in the clip-view.
once you hit the loop set it will loop from the next global quantization point to the end of the track.
if u hit loop-length after loop-start it will loop the quantized amount of time...

Ok it works by now with Ableton Live 8.

Does anybody know how to delete instant mappings of the APC40?
For instance, i want to deactivate the stop buttons of the columns.
But i can't think of a way to remove the instant mapping but to override it.

Is it possible to manipulate instant mappings without max?

that's what I tried several times. it ends up on a page where it says that I have the latest version installed. live itself shows a message that Live 8, Latin Percussion and Collision have been successfully authorized. sampler, operator, analog etc. are still not visible in the instrument folder alt...

i just installed the live suite 8.0.9 for mac osx 10.6 on my new macbook.
everything went fine, but I miss the operator, sampler, analog, tension..
the library says they are installed.

I already tried installing it again..same problem!
does anyone know how to activate them?

check out the purely djing thread on top of this page...there you find a lot of links to pages with acapellas and vocal stuff..
