lol figured it out. I had to re-authorize live then re-instal MAXMSP. It all worked out.
Thanks for letting me vent
Now to tap into M4L. I've been waiting a long time for this.

M4L devices missing
Hi there, I want to apologize if this question has been asked before. I can't seem to find the information. I just bought M4L and previously had the Ableton Suite and MAXMSP. I have the latest version of both Ableton Live (8.2.1) and MAXMSP (5.1.7). All of the tutorials show devices showing up under...

Re: ABLETON HQ: WE DEMAND THE FOLLOWING
You managed to get your point across and make it funny. Bravo!
I also agree there should be a Max4Live run time but I'll be blue in the face before someone takes note of my comment.

Re: Free 8.5 Upgrade, Ableton?
This is a ridiculous poll. The deal is that owners of Live 8 get all updates until Live 9. I'd prefer regular updates rather than one final flawless update (believe me software is never bug proof, you learn to live with some bugs just like those cockroaches in your floor boards.. that is a reality)....

Re: APC6000
Come on.. seriously. I like the 8x8 grid, the step sequencer grid, mixer section/dj section, and the pots but everything is really overboard together. Even then all these could hold their own as independent devices. I don't get the four white buttons above the mixer section and the mpc pads just tak...

Re: Akai APC 20
The details of the APC 20 really fall short. I'd say "come on Akai you can do better" but being a long time MPC user... I regularly feel let down by this company. Still waiting on an OS update for the MPC 5000 since a year ago.

Re: Akai APC 20
The faders are cool and if it is priced nice and good build quality it could be successful. I was really hoping they would drop an APC with more buttons. I still think the APC series really needs to have 64 buttons minimum.

You have a small but powerful system (especially the now rare ebb filter). From a long time gear whore, I'm envious in the simplicity.polyslax wrote:Added the Maschine back in the summer.

Re: What can you NOT do with MAX4Live?
Some words about the future. Max For Live is nothing that is done once and that's it. Max will evolve, Live will do, and so will Max For Live. There are some very obvious features missing, that will be part of a future update, like support for sending audio from device to device, or some additions ...

Re: Is there a lack of moderation in the General forum?
Honestly there are guys on this forum who are a bit outrageous, but there have been some surprisingly interesting threads that seem completely random. I loved all the photoshopped pictures of the APC or guys with their equipment, cats, and bicycles. If you don't want to read it ignore it. I did read...

Re: MIDI mapping Program Changes?
Another option is a program like Bome's midi translator. I have a foot switch that I use with Live that sends program message to solo, mute, and fire off clips.

Re: Mobile version for iPod Touch/iPhone
There are already iphone apps that can be used as midi controllers. max4live would expand this kind of functionality.
