I would like to just record a full song into Live 1.5 without it taking a piece of the song and start looping. I don't want it to loop. What do I needt to do in the setup??

I am trying to simply to hear what I have recorded and I'm getting no sound on that end. Source is being metered and I have sound. I'm using what came with the audiophile 24/96 card...Live delta 1.53 Please, someone take the time and walk me through this. What should the preferences be set at ...
