Re: Sampler device multisample efficiency
@heuristics I tried adding both the single and multiple sample Sampler to a new document and can't see any info in the status bar about loading samples. I guess it loads them too fast to tell. Live will load the file and use the shared copy in example 2. If you look at the partner instruments that A...

Re: Sampler device multisample efficiency
I think example 1 would be less cpu intensive. Perhaps you could try each example, save them, and then see which one loads up quicker as you can see the number of samples loading in bottom left corner. You could at least get an idea if example number 2 will be "loaded" once or 20 times. S...

Sampler device multisample efficiency
When working on a Sampler device I was wondering which route was the most efficient one, mostly CPU-wise. Example 1: 20 .wav files each containing a drum kick at different velocities, from low to high volume. These are then all added to a Sampler device and their velocity is set in the Velocity Zone...

Drum Rack choke settings ignored when using Preset Folder
Not sure if this is a bug or a limitation, but when dragging and dropping a "Preset Folder" containing HiHats onto an empty Drum Rack, the choke settings are ignored (and appear to be greyed out). Is this a limitation because Preset Folders contain Racks instead of Simpler instruments? If ...

Re: THE BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9
Didn't see a request for this under "Browser", so here goes:
The ability to create a "Preset folder" from the right click menu in the Device Browser.

Re: How do I create a preset folder?
from checking your manual reference, it seems like something which was specifically created to handle the latin percussion product. so someday you might see a "group to preset folder" command or something. especially if you actively pursue the feature request! They are available for all D...

Re: How do I create a preset folder?
I've been looking on how to do the same, and there seems to be no built-in way to do this. Or at least I haven't found it yet. Tone Deft, read the question again, 'cos you're missing the point :) As far as I can tell, what distinguishes these "preset folders" from ordinary folders is that ...
