When it was run by suits who had no clue about music they let musicians create things and hoped it worked. Now you get people like Simon Cowell at the top ...

You need to type things exactly . Cut-n-paste this in a new terminal, then cut-n-paste the whole output back in here, and I mean everything in that terminal. pwd cd ~ pwd ls -lad *esktop* ls -lad . ls -lad ~ ls -lad ~/*esktop* and I might be able to figure out what went wrong. By default OSX uses a ...

Sydney sucks. I should know, I live here :) Doesn't suck as much as Brisbane though. I lived there longer.

I see no pattern forming.

My MOTU Ultralite is awesome. Never had a driver problem, never had a hardware issue, and it runs fine bus powered from my MPB 17" (C2D). I do externally power it during gigs (what can I say, I'm paranoid).

I've suffered the standard embarassing DJ monents and they were recurring ones. Pulling off the best mix of my life in the headphones, only to realise that the crossfader was turned on and only on one channel  Or picking up the wrong record after mixing through to it  Or letting my headp...

Rough the surface up with a brillo pad or sandpaper. It's usually a coating on them that's preventing instant take. Also, use flux after rubbing them.

Soldering isn't hard :S

No worse than working in a kitchen anyway.
