Re: Is Apple losing its way in music tech?
Removing USB-ports?!? Nah, not yet.... But soon A will become C, I guess... (the "MacBook" with only 1 USB-port can't count since it was the first of its kind with a M-cpu...)

Like abondon the "ecosystem". (don't upgrade one part of the system because another part of the ecosystem requires it)Tarekith wrote:Their products work just fine as usual for most people who know what they're doing.

Re: Is Apple losing its way in music tech?
I may also move back to Windows, after some 15 years with Apple. They're losing it big time. My iphone 5s just updated to iOS 10 and it got slower. I'm not going to bother with Sierra... I stick with Mavericks. Seriously it's so much trouble now to update on OS X. You never know what software you u...

Re: 9.2 Feels like a complete 9.. what would even be next?
Because of this, Sampler is probably something they will overhaul, so it can time stretch like a proper sampler can, and also have a bigger GUI so editing its audio is more in line with using a fully fledged audio editor. Yeah, that's really needed, cause you can't timestretch anywhere else in Live...

Re: Offer Ableton Drive (All Packs Preloaded on SSD)
I was transferring files to my new computer and spent a lot of time reintegrating my packs into my new system. If Ableton would to have a product called "Ableton Drive" on SSD that would be awesome. But please... I know people will pay anything for convenience, but how hard is it to just ...

Re: U-he appreciation
a black, grey & blue Hive-inspired Ableton Live-skin would be interesting, I think.... Has anyone seen one? Hive version 1 (released yesterday) has an optional skin with far too much orange in it. Maybe they wanted to match Live's default skin. Yeah, I read that above - but I meant the other wa...

Re: MacBookPro Early 2011
the fan noise is ridiculous mm, the Macbook Pros based an on Intels "Sandy Bridge" are known to be hot. There were quite a few reports on this on forums and such. Many motherboards died because of faulty graphic cards. The thermal paste on the CPU were faulty applied on some units too. La...

Re: MacBookPro Early 2011
Hey guys, I wonder if anyone else ist still using the MacBookPro Early 2011 Processor 2 GHz Intel Core i7 RAM 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ??? Most pluggies seem to eat a lot of the CPU power, so a production without much flattening seems to be impossible. I wonder if it makes any sense working on this one ...

Re: Ableton and Apogee Duet
Ableton Live doesn't switch audiocards automatically when connected. Can you select it in Preferences > Audio?
(just select it there for both "Input" and "Output")

Re: Making Music - the book
Thanks for the update, Dennis!
I can understand if it takes a while to translate the physical book with all it's sections and colours to the iBooks/ePub-format. It seems a bit more rigid when it's comes to colour and customized layouts?
