Why even bother posting?
That's exactly what I thought when I read your post.

If you need to learn how to use Live, read the manual. Don't expect others to do it for you.

Re: Ableton 10 live, imported MP3 is corrupted

Perhaps you should try reading the manual?

Re: Upgrade or not

What's your budget? It's no good anyone recommending anything if you're not prepared to spend the money... My suggestion would be - get an Intel CPU, not AMD. A nice fast i7 preferrably. 64 bit OS with as much RAM as you can cram in. Gaming laptops are a good starting point, as they tend to be more ...

Re: Live 10.1

No WASAPI support? It's been around since Windows Vista (2006).

Re: ASIO Volume Help

But what's the point when all ASIO4ALL does is piggyback onto an existing driver (WDM)? He might as well just try with WDM directly.

Re: ASIO Volume Help

Good point! It has been requested by users, but if or when Ableton will ever fix Live (after all, it is a standard Windows driver now) remains to be seen.

Re: ASIO Volume Help

ASIO4ALL is not an ASIO driver! There's absolutely no need to use it in 2019. We now have WASAPI which is Microsoft's answer for low latency use, and comes as standard in Windows. Besides, it's been many years since DAW software required an ASIO driver to function. ASIO4ALL merely piggybacks onto th...

Re: Annoying Feedback at recording into Live

If you're using just the laptop's audio then you do not have an ASIO compatible interface, and you should not be using an ASIO driver. I can only assume that you are maybe referring to ASIO4ALL - which is not an ASIO driver. Either buy yourself a true ASIO compatible low latency external audio inter...

Re: audio interfaces

You don't mention anything about the computer you're using the MOTU with, or what latency / buffer size you're using.

Have you tried the MOTU on other computers? Have you adjusted latency? In other words are you sure it's the MOTU that's the issue?

Re: Video in Ableton Live

Strommy my dear chap, the Ableton Live manual states (and I quote) "Live can import movies in Apple QuickTime format (.mov)" That's all it says. Nothing about containers, platforms, frameworks, technology.... it just says .mov Based on that info (which I assume is correct as it's written by Ableton)...

I didn't say that .mov was a codec.

Re: Video in Ableton Live

IMO it's very restrictive to only support QuickTime .mov format (assuming that's still the case). If Ableton want people to use Live for video editing, then they need to add support for all popular codecs.
