totally agree
recording vocals is the only thing that I have to do in other DAWs.

only thing that is not mine is the vocal track.
I don't use any samples, loops etc. I like to make everything from scratch. it gives me more control with the mastering part later.
I rewrote the music around her vocals - just like you said.
