Re: XLN audio XO

Try going into the preferences and turning off VST support and then turning it back on to reset it. This will re-scan all your plugs. It may have gotten blacklisted for whatever reason and then Live basically hides it from you when that happens.

Re: Live 11 is coming !!!

Everyone was upset because it took 5 years (or more?) for Live10, but now this one was too quick. :? Back in the early Live versions, the 1 (1/2) year turnaround was quite usual. I get that it can be upsetting for some that this means spending cash once more. But please remember what huge free poin...

Re: Using XLN XO with DrumRack on Push 1

Hey jester, love your video. Don't know if you'll see this reply but hopefully you do. So i attempted to setup the drum rack the way you showed, however one issue i was running into is that XLN XO doesnt have inputs or outputs for individual drum sounds; its all one global output. Is there any chan...

Re: Tracks are out of sync after exporting to a new project for mixdown

That's because you probably have it set in the options to "warp long files" when you drag them in - Click on each clip and turn off "warp" button and then you will have to manually pull the front of each clip. In times like these I drag all the clips to bar 5 so that I can pull the front of each of ...

Re: Streaming Ableton to Twitch using Open Broadcasting Software

On an RME device you use the "Loopback" button in the mixer for your DAW output. Super easy with an RME device.

Re: Locking a plugin window to always be visible?

You probably have "Auto Hide Plugin Windows" enabled in the preferences. Disable it and your plugins will stay open when you switch tracks.

Re: Unable to open project file due to expired iLok demo plugin

Uninstall or Remove the plugin (.dll) from your VST folder. Then you will just get a warning about missing a plugin on your song when you open it. Remove the problem plugin and save. Done deal.

Re: how to fix the sound when you have too many compressors?

See, this is the kind of world we've created - MF's don't even know what a compressor is doing or why it's needed, but because everyone's running around creaming their jeans for compressors (why, who knows???) everyone thinks they just need to slap compressors on everything by default... Because hey...

Re: Why I prefer Pro Tools for mixing instead of Ableton Live

Yes, that^ is a great feature. I've always been baffled as to why it's not an official feature. Probably because it doesn't work correctly. I'm on 9.7.7 and for me the Plugin names don't show up in the slots when you add them. They're just blank with a power button. Doesn't matter if they are 3rd p...

Re: Any tips for some GOOD studio headphones?

After all these years the Sony's still translate awesome... No real need for anything beyond that IMO. Either the 7506's or the V6's... they are pretty similar but have different curves. I prefer the V6's but I can get down on the 7506's no problem.

Re: WHY ABLETON - IF SUPPORT SUCKS

I think a method of deregistering software from a named computer on the Ableton site would be handy. So on my Ableton account page it should say Angstroms License: Live 9 Suite Licensed Devices - Angstroms Desktop : Activated [Deactivate] Angstrom's Laptop : Activated [Deactivate] that might help m...

Pretty killer deal on the shop right now for Live 8 owners

If you own 8 and you upgrade to 9 right now, you get $40 bucks off ($159) and you get live 10 for free when it comes out.

Pretty smokin' deal! Just thought I'd pass on the word as I'm sure a lot of people wont even see it. Glad I waited on upgrading to 9 until now :D

Thanks for the heads-up. I voted with 3 votes, although I highly suspect this will be ignored and never come to fruition.

No less then 35 an hour - Bulk deals can work sometimes though too.. meaning, for x amount I will create x amount of songs..
