Live looper - sync without master track/independent master
I'm aware you can use the looper without it being synced to the master track/starting master track play when playing the looper. What I'd like to do is have say 4 loopers and have whichever loop is started first, the others sync with it. So say I start with recording and playing loop 1. I add 3 othe...

Thanks. How would I do this for a VST drum machine like Superior Drummer?

Drum Rack for external hardware drum machine?
I have a Alesis Hr-16 and I'd like to be able to create a Drum Rack and midi map the midi notes into the rack to trigger the sounds on the HR-16. And be able to save this Rack as a preset for future use - and I also be able to utilize the sequencer function on the Push 2.
Is this possible?

Push 2 - Repeat division for each drum pad?
Is there any way with the stock Push 2 - or some utility plugin - where you can assign the Repeat function to various pads with different subdivisions?
For instance, have the pad for the Kick set to 1/16 and the snare for 1/32, etc. for the remaining pads.

Re: Using Push 2 to control Machine VST - pads only trigger Kick
Thanks for the detailed reply. I have Maschine version 1 - not sure if that makes a difference as far as your instruction as I couldn't really follow what you were describing. I did the following through: I dropped a drum rack into a midi track and dropped an External Instrument into each of the 16 ...

Using Push 2 to control Machine VST - pads only trigger Kick
Does anyone know how to configure the Maschine VST to work with push so when I load the VST, the push pads trigger all the drums sounds in a drum preset on Maschine - not just all trigger various pitches of the Kick?

Re: New Macbook Pro and how much ram for Live 10?
If your audio projects require 64GB of ram you’re doing it wrong. 16GB is fine enough so I’d save your money as I’m sure the upgrade from 32 to 64 is some insane amount. I had a project going with 4 tracks: 2 drum racks. and 2 VSTs and was getting some audio clicks/drop-outs and the CPU showing aro...

New Macbook Pro and how much ram for Live 10?
Currently on an Early 2011 MBP with 16gb ram, SSD. Looking at the new 16'' MBP and debating 32 vs 64gb of ram. A friend was saying the newer ram is way different than the DDR3 that is in this current MBP so 32gb of newer ram is better than the same in DDR3, so is it worth it getting the 64gb ram? Gr...

Re: CV Tools: Audio interface and cable adapter question.
I'm using a Motu Ultralite MK3 which is DC coupled.
I actually have a random 1/4'' stereo to what I believe is 1/8'' stereo - did not check to confirm that latter - and it worked controlling the clock of my DFAM with the CV Tools Clock out.

CV Tools: Audio interface and cable adapter question.
Can you use 1/4'' stereo to 1/8'' stereo adapters if you don't have 1/4'' to 1/8'' mono adapters? This is so I can trigger various patch points on my DFAM and Moog Grandmother.

Live Looper and multiple sub-clocks within a session?
I have a default looping set which has 4 tracks with a looper in each. Is there a way to have two loopers sync together and the other two sync together? I play with a drummer and we don't use a click. A lot of our stuff is improve and I love the freedom of hardware loopers like the Line 6 Dl-4 but i...

So if he has an 8.2.X version - even if the last digit is not the same as mine, will our Live sets be compatible?

Trading Live sets and version compatibility issues
I have Live 8.2.8. My friend has a lower version - 8. something, I'm not exactly sure. When I make a live set and save to send to him, he is unable to open it. Do you need to have the exact same Live version in order to trade sets with another person, and have them be compatible?

Re: Midi grid smaller than 1/32?
Sorry for bumping an old thread but I'm trying to get 1/128 and I can't. I loaded some drum midi clips and they have a 1/128 ratio but I made my own clip and can't seem to do it.
I see people are saying use control and 1 but that isn't doing anything for me. I'm on a Mac using Live 8.2.8
